Why mushrooms love trees
In nature, most of the functional mushrooms grow on trees. They can either live in symbiosis with trees or are saprotrophic. If they live in symbiosis with trees, they both receive benefits from the relationship and needs the other to survive. If they are saprotrophic (e.g. Lion’s Mane, Reishi), they are processors of dead and decaying organic matter. These mushrooms are essential for nature rebirth. To clean-up nature. To feed nature.
